FlexLink acquires all the shares of TOPS Conveyor Systems

On May 31, 2006, FlexLink acquired all the shares of TOPS Conveyor Systems, Inc., as a result of an agreement announced May 17. The new company will operate as FlexLink Systems Canada, Inc. FlexLink, of Göteborg, Sweden, is a leading global supplier of automation solutions to assembly and manufacturing industries. TOPS, of Burlington, Ontario, is the leading conveyor system supplier in Canada and provides solid knowledge in general application technology and has a well developed customer base. The new company will be the base for continued growth in the Canadian market as the FlexLink activity range will provide access to new customer groups. Fasken Martineau advised FlexLink in this transaction with a team comprised of Robert Stocks, Scott Mitchell and Charles Kazaz. Robert Elliott and Kathleen Yoa, also of Fasken Martineau, prepared a Bank application with regard to this acquisition.
