Overview

Nikolas Blanchette successfully defended the interests of the Old Brewery Mission against the Attorney General of Quebec and the Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal in an expropriation proceeding. The Old Brewery Mission instituted proceedings to have the notice of reserve published against its property by the Attorney General of Québec in order to expand the Palais de congrès de Montréal declared invalid. Faced with having to respond to this proceeding, the Attorney General of Quebec and the Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal decided to abandon the notice of reserve issued against the Old Brewery Mission’s property.
