Overview

Terry Kyle Lapierre (TK) is a bilingual labour and employment lawyer with a hybrid practice focused on both M&A and employer-side litigation. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada as “One to Watch” (2022), by the Quebec Young Bar Association as the recipient of the professional excellence award (2024) and by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a repeatedly recommended lawyer in employer-side employment law (2025).

TK is a strategic legal advisor to clients across Canada and internationally on complex workplace issues, including executive employment, compensation plans, pension and benefits, sensitive workplace investigations, termination of employment, policy compliance, workforce restructurings and large-scale commercial transactions.

TK has a strong track record in employment litigation, successfully defending employers in cases involving wrongful dismissal, discrimination, and harassment. He appears before labour arbitrators, tribunals, and courts, including the Superior Court of Quebec, the Quebec Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Appeal. He has also contributed to cases before the Supreme Court of Canada.

A committed advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, TK serves on multiple firm committees and supports LGBTQIA2S+ organizations. Outside of law, he is an accomplished singer and former Canadian Idol semi-finalist.
