Tyler joined Fasken's Vancouver office as a student in 2023, after completing his second year at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.

While in law school, Tyler participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in both the Canadian and International Rounds, being recognized as a top oralist in each. He also worked as a Research Assistant for Allard's Student Affairs Office, served as a Student Ambassador and as an elected member of the Law Students' Society, led educational workshops with Legal Education Outreach, and provided pro-bono legal services to underserved clients through the Law Students' Legal Advice Program.

Prior to beginning at Allard, Tyler held positions at the Vancouver Provincial Criminal Court, Vancouver Aquarium, and City of Burnaby, among others. He completed his undergraduate studies at UBC in 2020, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Outside of work, he enjoys watching and playing hockey, basketball, and volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.
