Uiterwyk Pinamang-Asante graduated from Western University’s Faculty of Law, where she served as Co-President of the Black Law Students’ Association – Western Chapter for two years.
She actively mentored aspiring law students through Black Future Lawyers, participating in panels and sharing her experiences to help make the path to law school more accessible. Before attending law school, Uiterwyk earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Law from the University of Ottawa. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered with her local church and sang in the choir. Uiterwyk worked in the public sector for three years before law school and continued in her government role while completing her J.D. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games, learning about fashion and photography, and searching for records to add to her growing vinyl collection.
Uiterwyk summered with Fasken, during which she participated in the Firm’s Secondment Program and was seconded to Holt Renfrew.
