Daniel helps clients through rough waters. He assists creditors, debtors and other stakeholders understand and assert their interests in all manner of insolvency proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA) and Ontario’s Courts of Justice Act. He is also adept at helping clients mitigate risks posed by insolvency or potential insolvency.
Daniel has won cases at all levels of court. He regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice’s Commercial List and has successfully prosecuted appeals, including before the Supreme Court of Canada.
Daniel is experienced in representing Canadian and international lenders, insurers, professional service firms, land developers, manufacturers, franchisors and public bodies, among others, across many industries, including real estate, logistics, retail, resource extraction and processing, food processing and service, healthcare and infrastructure.
