Presentation in French only
For this third edition of the Municipal and Expropriation Law Summit, the Fasken team will present its usual regulatory and case law review in municipal law and urban planning with a view to providing real estate developers and other key players in the real estate community with insight on recent developments in these areas.
During this event, our municipal law team will discuss this year’s most significant regulatory and case law changes, which include:
- Disguised (de facto) Expropriation – examining the application of section 245 of the Act respecting land use planning and development
- Fees – the Regulation respecting certain contributions to municipal services required for the issue of a permit or certificate
- Metropolitan Land Use Development Plan (PMAD) – the second revised version of the PMAD draft
- Expropriation – examining the expropriation case involving the La Sapinière property and the Act respecting expropriation
- Superpowers – how used by some cities
- Boreal chorus frogs – situation in Gatineau
- Flood zones – new mapping of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM)
Our lawyers will discuss practical implications for your current projects and transactions and provide strategic advice on how to navigate this complex legal landscape.
This presentation will also give you the opportunity to ask specific questions and interact with our lawyers.
