For our inaugural Automotive Summit, we decided to let you hear from representatives of two key regulators which have a major impact on the automotive industry: Environment Canada and the Office québécois de la langue française. Virginia Poter, Director General, Industrial Sectors, Chemicals and Waste Directorate, Environment Canada will speak about the Chemicals Management Plan administered jointly by Environment Canada and Health Canada with a particular focus on implications for the automotive industry. Jean-Pierre Le Blanc, Acting Director of Communications and Spokesperson, Office québécois de la langue française, will provide an overview of the Charter of the French Language as it applies to business activities conducted within the automotive sector. You will also have the benefit of participating in Q&A sessions moderated by two of our expert lawyers who regularly deal with and advise on legal issues arising out of these two key pieces of legislation.
