Overview

Law 5, which came into force in July 2024, establishes a separate, comprehensive legal framework for the collection and processing of health information. It imposes strict obligations and responsibilities on public and private sector organizations including, but not limited to, healthcare institutions, private health facilities, universities and pre-hospital emergency services.

On this page, you will find practical resources to better understand the impact of Law 5 on your operations, identify your responsibilities and take the necessary steps to reduce the risks of non-compliance.
