The commercial real estate financing market can be extremely competitive and complex, particularly when prime realty assets are at stake.

We have an experienced and responsive team of lawyers and professionals who represent lenders and borrowers in all aspects of real estate financings. Our clients include domestic and foreign financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, real estate investment trusts (REITS), government corporations, real estate investors and developers. Collaborating with teams across our offices, we advise on cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financings.

In representing lenders we focus on the structuring of the loan and corresponding assumption of risk by the lender and on matters for special attention that could affect the repayment of the loan or the enforcement of security.

In representing borrowers our focus is practical, we ensure that the loan documentation is reasonable and that it enables the borrower to receive notice of and respond adequately to defaults.

Our team has extensive experience in acquisition, development and construction financings, hotel financings, mezzanine lending, bond/trust deed financings, realty enforcement, receiverships and intercreditor agreements.
