Heather Whiteside holds an LLM from Georgetown University, where she studied as a Global Health Scholar, and a JD/BCL from McGill University, where she was the recipient of the Arnold Fradkin Memorial Scholarship, the Gary Nachshen Journals of Law Prize, and the Kark Claxton Memorial Award. Prior to law school, she completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science at the University of Waterloo, graduating first in her class. She has studied abroad at Shantou University in China and La Sorbonne Nouvelle in France. During law school, Heather served as the Editor-in-Chief of the McGill Journal of Law and Health and as a Student Advocate with the Legal Information Clinic at McGill. She interned with the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network and developed extensive research experience as a Fellow at the O’Neill Institute for National & Global Health Law and as a Research Intern at McGill’s Institute for Health and Social Policy. In her spare time, Heather is an avid reader of Canadian fiction and enjoys cycling, hiking, and other outdoor adventures.

Heather summered at the Firm in 2019 and was seconded to The Hospital For Sick Children.
