Shree Majithia is a Business Advisor in both Toronto and Calgary's Banking & Finance Group assisting on a range of bilateral and syndicated, secured and unsecured, and domestic and international financing transactions.
Prior to joining Fasken, Shree was an aviation and asset finance lawyer in the London office of two international law firms. Shree has experience in aircraft-related transactions and in acting for banks, export credit agencies, borrowers and lessors on a wide variety of high profile, complex and innovative transactions.
Shree was exposed to domestic and cross-border aircraft financing and operating leases, the sale and purchase of substantial aircraft portfolios and sale and leasebacks. In particular, Shree’s representative aviation experience for banks and export credit agencies includes advising on various cross-border leasing and subleasing arrangements for engines, airframe and aircraft, novations, engine replacements, used / new Airbus and Boeing deliveries, early repayments and the unwinding of security and refinancings. Shree has worked closely with local counsel in jurisdictions as diverse as Hungary, India, Brazil, the PRC and Myanmar.
Shree completed her degrees at University College London, Imperial College London, and BPP Law School, London, and is currently in the process of qualifying as a lawyer in Alberta. Shree qualified as a lawyer in England in 2017.
