Jessica Campbell is a Partner in Fasken’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Vancouver. Her practice focuses on product liability litigation, insurance law and class actions. She acts for manufacturers, distributors, insurers, insureds and other corporate clients in complex disputes involving alleged product defects, personal injury, property damage, economic loss, insurance coverage and related regulatory issues.
Her product liability practice spans a range of industries, including automotive, construction, commercial and industrial equipment, consumer products, life sciences and transportation. Jessica has significant experience advancing and defending litigated claims and class proceedings, advising on critical or fatal incident response, and developing practical strategies to help clients manage litigation and regulatory risk. She has particular expertise working with specialized experts on complex investigations and technical causation analysis.
In addition to her litigation practice, Jessica advises clients on product safety and regulatory matters connected to product liability and risk management. This includes consumer product recalls, Health Canada reporting and compliance, technical safety investigations and other compliance issues under Canadian product safety, health product and technical product regulatory regimes.
Her transportation-related work includes litigation, incident response and regulatory matters involving injury claims, contractual disputes, cargo claims and regulatory compliance and investigation including with transportation regulators. Jessica has assisted commercial transportation, passenger transportation and autonomous vehicle companies, among others.
Jessica has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and regularly represents clients in trials, appeals, mediations, arbitrations and negotiated dispute resolution. She has been recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for Product Liability, Best Lawyers in Canada for Insurance Law, Lexology Index Thought Leaders and the Lexology Client Choice Awards in Litigation.
